2CVGB Events
Throughout
the year, there is never a shortage of events to tackle with your
2CV. There are road runs to places of interest, such as the highest
Inn in England, or across the plains of Salisbury.
There are three large events each year – a London to Brighton run,
usually in May, the Registers' Day event, where 2CVs of each type
congregate to compete for trophies (while their owners chat and
socialise and soak up the atmosphere) and the 2CVGB National –
where cars descend on the chosen site from all over the country (and
indeed Europe) allowing their owners to chat, socialise and, in
short, have a great time.
Smaller events
take place around the country, with local groups holding their own
camping weekends. These are very friendly events and any 2CVGB
newcomer is welcome to attend. It can be a bit less daunting than
turning up at one of the larger events on your own, though you'll be
assured a warm welcome whatever event you decide to attend.
Every two years, there is a World Meeting. In 2009, the venue was the Czech Republic and in 2007, it was Sweden. Locations are France in 2011 and Spain in 2013. British 2CVGB Members always make the effort to attend these remarkable events.
2CVGB has always
enjoyed a huge social scene and our events are about much more than
simply parking up a few 2CVs in a field. Why not attend an event to
find out for yourself? See the Calendar for more details.
